Little Oaks Preschool wins £500 to help Green Up West Norfolk
Little Oaks Preschool in Wretton near Kings Lynn in Norfolk have won £500 worth of Q Lawns products in a competition run jointly by KLFM radio and Q Lawns Turf Growers.
West Norfolk residents were asked to log on to the KLFM website and nominate their favourite community project that could use Q Lawns landscaping materials to provide green spaces that will benefit their local area.
Little Oaks Preschool recieved lots of nominations and will be selecting £500 worth of products from Q Lawns extensive range, to develop their outdoor areas. They have a choice of Q Lawn grade turf, a hardwearing turf ideal for play areas, MeadowMat, wild flower matting to encourage and support butterflies and bees, Enviromat sedum matting for ground cover or green roofing (Enviromat is also great for attracting pollinating insects), Woodchip Mulch, a great weed suppressant and good for making paths, and topsoil which is perfect for veg growing.
A very close runner up in the competition was 1st Feltwell Scout Group who will also recieve Q Lawns' products to help them develop an allotment in the village where Beavers, Cubs and Scouts can learn how to grow their own vegetables.
